RED SEA, EGYPT

Having never dived outside of the UK before this trip I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I now realise how true the saying, "if you can dive in the uk, you can dive anywhere" is. This trip really opened my eyes to how amazing diving can be from having warm water to being able to see the boat and where I have to go. Couldn't have asked for a better way to start 2026.

Throughout this trip I spent a lot of time trying to photograph a turtle with motion blur. After a lot of failed attempts and practice. I found a turtle which I could get close to and wasn't bothered by my presence. In fact it was very interested in my camera and followed me around trying to nibble to floats on my strobe arms.

This incredible encounter allowed me to get a handful of images that I feel proud of. My favourite being the photo on the bottom right, now named 'The Remora Dance'. This particular turtle spent a long time trying to slap the remora off its shell and even scrapping its shell along rocks. Ultimately the remora wouldn't leave it alone.
