ADVENTURE & UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHER · FALMOUTH, UK

What the surface
never shows you.

I'm Owen Sanders — an adventure and underwater photographer based in Falmouth, chasing grey seals, octopus, and kelp forest light around the UK coast and beyond. This is the record of that process: the portfolio, the failed dives, and the ones that finally worked.

 ABOUT

Driven by exploration and storytelling.

I grew up in the South West UK and now live in Falmouth, studying Marine and Natural History Photography. I started out shooting climbing — indoors and out — before moving underwater in the summer of 2024, learning under the guidance of Aaron Sanders. Taking a camera below the surface reignited my love for diving and gave it real purpose.

From grey seals in Devon to octopus and cuttlefish around Cornwall, and reefs in the Red Sea, I'm drawn to the same thing above and below water: the wonder of remote places and the wildlife that lives there.
